Before you haul a load here

Secure and cover your load. Most facilities charge extra or turn away untarped loads.
Separate items. Keep tires, appliances, mattresses, electronics and yard waste apart from household trash — they're usually charged or unloaded separately.
Bring ID and payment. Many public sites check residency, and some take cash or check only.
Leave hazardous waste at home. Paint, chemicals, batteries, propane tanks and motor oil go to household hazardous waste drop-offs, not the regular tipping floor.
